De Graafschap has appointed Thomas Duivenvoorden as their new head coach. The 39-year-old trainer has experience at Quick Boys and is known for his stunts against Eredivisie teams in the KNVB Cup. "We are happy to present Thomas as our new head coach", says technical manager Berry Powel. "We have gotten to know Thomas as a trainer with a very clear football vision and he has shown last season that he is very good at bringing that over to the group. Also based on the performances at his previous clubs, we think that his view on football is excellent for De Vijverberg. Well-cared-for and attacking football, combined with a healthy dose of effort. That is a football vision and playing style that fits De Graafschap. That is also what our supporters would like to see." Duivenvoorden himself looks forward to getting started: "De Graafschap is a beautiful club with great supporters. I am proud to be here as head coach next season. Last season, the club took a new direction on the football side and I look forward to developing that direction together with the rest of the staff. As they say here: D'RAN!" Before his arrival at De Graafschap, Duivenvoorden was trainer of Quick Boys, with whom he became champion. Duivenvoorden and Quick Boys became known to the general public through their stunts against multiple Eredivisie teams in the KNVB Cup.
